Salary: Scale 5/6, £31,716 – £36,423

LDBS serves and supports the 154 Church of England schools in the Diocese of London. Our vision is for every young Londoner to experience the love of God in Christ. Through our schools we seek to transform futures and enable pupils and adults to flourish.

LDBS is the Responsible Body for the voluntary aided schools within the diocese. It provides project management of school buildings and redevelopments, and supports land transfers and statutory title transfer. We are currently developing a net zero carbon strategy for our schools and investment property.

About the Role:

We are looking for someone to provide administrative support to the Operations Team and ensure the smooth running of the LDBS office at Causton Street.

Duties will include:

  • Organising surveys and meetings, and preparing reports and presentations;
  • Consultant and contractor onboarding, including ensuring compliance with policies;
  • Supporting the Operations Team to ensure projects are completed in a timely way;
  • Diary management of the Operations Team;
  • Office health, safety, and security;
  • Overseeing and managing post; stock control; practical arrangements for events; and filing.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Share our LDBS commitment to evidence-based, equitable education, which embraces diversity and transforms futures;
  • Have experience of working in an open plan office and of providing administrative support and overseeing projects or programmes;
  • Have a problem-solving, can-do approach; attention to detail; and the ability to communicate well and navigate sometimes complex relationships;
  • Have the ability to understand and work within Church of England and educational structures and practices.
