Our Annual Report for the year to March 2021 describers how the LDBS continued to serve and support Church schools to be successful and distinctively Christian through an extraordinary year.
Although most of our work had to move on-line, our advisers carried out more than 1,500 ‘virtual visits’ to schools and more schools than ever called on our school improvement, HR, headteacher appraisal and data protection services.
Moving governor training on-line led to increased attendance. Feedback showed that training still have a positive impact and that governors appreciated the extra flexibility, so we will carry on running governor training on-line next year.
You can read about our objectives, and in the coming year our priorities will include:
- Support for Church schools in areas with falling pupil numbers
- Support for Church schools to recover from the impact of Covid-19
- Implementing the 2021 Diocesan Boards of Education Measure
- Adopting an actively anti-racist approach
