An exciting opportunity for a top class Second in charge of Religious Education to join our school

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Second in charge of Religious Education. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and energetic practitioner, with high expectations, and be passionate about their subject and able to inspire and motivate students. They must be committed, through lesson planning and careful assessment, to the highest standards of teaching and learning. This post is suitable for an experienced teacher who is able to support the Head of Faculty in the day-to-day running of the department and to deliver outstanding lessons across the key stages.

RE is taught in years 7 to 11 and all students sit GCSE RE in year 11. Students’ learning is enriched by visits, lectures and seminars outside of school as well as an annual Faith in Focus Season. We are seeking someone who can contribute to this extra-curricular learning and success beyond the classroom in RE and in the wider life of the school.
