Finance and Administration Officer (Maternity cover)
Salary: NJC Grade 6, Spinal Point 18, Pro rata salary (annual): £24,637.22 (full time salary: £34,416 per annum)
Contract type: part-time, temporary (maternity cover) 1st September 2025 - 31st May 2026
Hours: 30 hours per week
We are looking to appoint an experienced and highly-efficient Finance and Administration Officer to join our school community from September 2025. Working under the direction of our Headteacher, you will form an important part of our school’s Operations Team, effectively contributing to our school’s commitment to excellent provision.
Bishop Perrin Church of England Primary School is a warn, welcoming and highly successful one-form entry school in Whitton, Twickenham. We have a friendly, dedicated staff team, along with supportive governors and parents, and we pride ourselves on excellent pupil behaviour. Our recent Ofsted inspection in February 2024 judged us to be outstanding across all areas and our recent SIAMs inspection (February 2025) described our school as one that is ‘enabling pupils and staff to flourish’.
The Finance and Administration Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of the school’s strategic plan and objectives, and is an important member of our school community. They will have responsibility for:
all aspects of accounting and finance;
pupil administration;
attendance administration;
school meals administration;
school office administration (shared responsibility with other office team members).
We are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and well-organised, someone who can work independently to manage their own workload and be proactive and adaptable to the needs of the school. They will:
have experience of working in a professional office environment as a finance officer or similar;
have strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to be resourceful, versatile, and flexible;
have the ability to prioritise, use initiative and work under pressure;
be enthusiastic and self-motivated;
have excellent IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Suite;
be proactive, polite and helpful;
be committed to promoting the safeguarding and wellbeing of children.
