Our vision
For Schools
What is the LDBS vision for Church schools in London?
The Diocese of London has an exciting 2030 Vision for every young Londoner to experience the love of God in Christ. The LDBS aims to serve and support schools to be:
Places where all can flourish
Places which enable transformational futures
Deeply Christian, committed to serving the common good with the invitation of Jesus to ‘life in all its fullness’ at their heart (John 10:10)
Our vision is deeply Christian, with Jesus' promise of 'life in all its fullness' at its heart. In line with the Church of England's role as the established Church, our vision is for the common good of the whole community.
LDBS commitment to anti-racism
LDBS is committed to being actively anti-racist. LDBS schools are rich in their diversity and we believe that this diversity brings strength and opportunity. Racism and other forms of discrimination are wholly incompatible with Jesus’ promise of “life in all its fullness” and our vision of human flourishing.
As an organisation we have a zero-tolerance towards discrimination of any kind. We are committed to challenging and removing structural racism and discrimination within the Diocese. We expect staff working for LDBS and for Church schools increasingly to reflect the diversity of their communities. We celebrate the diversity of our staff and are taking active steps to address under-representation.
If you have experienced racism or discrimination of any kind through LDBS or a Church school in London we encourage you to speak with our People and Culture Director. We welcome opportunities to listen to and learn from all those we serve.
