Supporting Church Schools

LDBS provides a universal ‘core’ service to all Church schools which covers the five ways that we support distinctively Christian education. We recognise that the needs of schools vary over time so not every school will access everything every year, but there is a broad range of high-quality support available when needed. The fee that schools pay represents excellent value; the universal core service is heavily subsidised by LDBS investment income and a grant from the Diocese of London.

Our core services

LDBS provides a core service to every Church school in London, and we also provide lots of additional support that any school can buy for an additional fee. We serve in five ways:

  • Providing enriching opportunities: Every pupil experiences the love of God in Christ

  • Developing schools: Church schools are deeply Christian, transformational and serving the common good, so that every pupil thrives

  • Developing people: Programmes are deeply Christian, transformational and serving the common good, so that staff and governors thrive

  • Developing school operations & logistics: Church schools are resilient, safe and sustainable

  • Strengthening education: The sector is strengthened through responsible stewardship and long-term, pro-active collaboration
