Salary

Point 7 on the NJC pay scale for Outer London (full time rate: £27,855), £25,767 per annum when calculated to reflect the 42 week contract and weekly working hours (35).

Individual salary range for this post: point 7 to point 11 (full time £27,855 to £29,583).

Start Date

An immediate start date is available for this vacancy. We understand that applicants may have current work commitments and in such cases a mutually convenient start date will be negotiated with the successful applicant. This is a full time position on a 42 week contract.

About the role

Greig City Academy is seeking to appoint an Admissions and Student Information Centre Officer to join our team. We are looking for an organised administrator to support the admissions process of the school as well as to contribute to the smooth-running of the Student Information Centre, including administering first aid (training will be provided).

As Admissions Officer you will be responsible for the administration of school places liaising with the Assistant Vice Principal (Pastoral), Heads of Year, the local authority and/or other external agencies, and parents and carers as necessary. You will provide administrative and day to day operational support and this includes maintaining the school’s admissions database and communicating with parents and carers on all aspects concerning school admissions.

As a member of the Student Information Centre team, you will also provide first aid cover, training for this will be provided.

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively as a member of an established team, be well organised and efficient, with an ability to use their initiative and work unsupervised. They will have good Microsoft Office skills and be able to mail merge in Word and use Excel to run reports. Ideally, they would have experience of school admissions processes, policies and procedures.
