Phase Leader KS2

Full-time, permanent

Required: September 2026

Salary: MPS/UPS and TLR2b (Outer London)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced teacher to become a full-time permanent Phase Leader at Forty Hill.

We are looking for an inspirational, motivated and creative leader with proven skills and abilities in raising attainment for all pupils through excellent practice and high expectations. We are looking for someone who will thrive on the opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives. The leader will need to show a good understanding of the importance of inclusive practice and creating an inclusive atmosphere, and of modelling that across the key stage.

Forty Hill CE Primary School is a voluntary-aided Church of England school established in 1851 and set in a semi-rural, conservation area in Enfield, with strong links to Jesus Church. Located near the M25 and Forty Hall, the school provides an excellent opportunity to work in a beautiful setting with an easy commute from Hertfordshire, Essex and Enfield. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of our children and our Christian values and ethos are embedded in all aspects of the curriculum we offer. However, we welcome applications from teachers of all or no faith who can positively support our Christian ethos.

We can offer an opportunity to lead a phase and help you to reach the next stage in your career with quality CPD to develop practice. This will be in an environment where both strategic thinking and creativity are valued equally. We can offer the chance to be part of a team that works together to build an inclusive atmosphere, with children at the centre of every decision, and to take a key role in strategic planning. The right candidate will have:

●        Excellent leadership skills

●        Be a strategic thinker, able to consider the bigger picture and bring about improvement, inspiring, leading and motivating colleagues across the whole school

●        Drive, determination and a passion for excellent teaching

●        The ability to plan and teach exciting sequences of lessons and help others to do so

●        A positive outlook and a resilient nature

●        A commitment to developing their own, and others, teaching practice as part of a team

●        The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and recognising and seizing opportunities for professional growth.

●        The opportunity to develop professionally by leading a phase and leading a curriculum area.

●        Working in a team within the school and across a partnership of schools

To arrange an informal conversation or/and to come for a visit, please contact the school office on 020 8363 0760 or email office@fortyhill.enfield.sch.uk.

Closing Date: 11.59pm Monday 13th April

Shortlisting: Wednesday 15th April

Interviews: week commencing 20th April.

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
