Interim Head of School
We are looking for an Interim Head of School to join us as soon as possible. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader to guide a strong and stable school through its next stage of development, including its transition into a new partnership with The Cedar Federation. You will work closely with, and receive ongoing support from, the Executive Head as you lead the school. There is also the potential for the post to become permanent for the right candidate.
About the Role
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the school, ensuring continued high standards and driving further improvement. The school is in a positive position but requires the expertise of an experienced Leader to maintain momentum and provide strategic direction.
The school is currently within its Ofsted and SIAMS window, and the Interim Head will lead the school confidently through the inspection process with full support from the Executive Headteacher. A prompt start is essential to allow for a thorough handover and to support the smooth establishment of the partnership with the Cedar Federation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide effective strategic and operational leadership across the school.
Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and pastoral provision.
Lead the school through its upcoming Ofsted and SIAMS inspection with Trust support.
Support the school’s transition into partnership with the Cedar Federation.
Maintain strong safeguarding practices and statutory compliance.
Build on the school’s strengths and drive ongoing improvement.
Support, motivate, and develop staff at all levels.
Person Specification
Experienced senior leader with a proven track record of school improvement.
Strong knowledge of Ofsted and SIAMS requirements and experience leading inspections.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and team-leadership skills.
Able to start immediately for an effective handover period.
