Higher Level Teaching Assistant 

Salary: Scale 7 £27,200 to £28,680 (30hrs per week TTO)

The Edward Betham CofE Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our high-achieving two-form entry school for Autumn 2024.

Graded as a ‘good’ school by Ofsted in 2018, the school enjoys an excellent reputation and parents/carers are very positive about the education of their children and highly supportive of the school.

The HLTA will play a key role delivering high quality teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 & KS2. Experience of working with children with SEND would be beneficial.

To join us on our learning journey you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills;

  • Ability to contribute to planning, preparation and delivery of agreed work and support programmes to individuals, groups or classes;

  • Experience in leading whole class learning, covering PPA and staff absence;

  • Ability to insist on high standards of behaviour and academic outcome, enabling all pupils to flourish;

  • Ability to use a variety of strategies to engage and support children in their learning;

  • Enthusiasm for collaborative working and an ability to contribute to planning and to provision for pupils with SEND;

  • A willingness to support the school’s Christian ethos.
