The Fulham Boys School (FBS) is an 11 year-old free school which has quickly established itself as one of the top schools in the country.
FBS is seeking an energetic, commercial Head of Finance and Operations to join the Senior Leadership Team and work with the Governing Body and FBS Foundation in furthering the school’s ambitions.
The role reports to the Headmaster and its core responsibilities include Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement and, depending on experience, IT and Facilities. The role manages up to 12 direct and indirect reports.
The provision of FBS’s broad educational offering is underpinned by financial donations from the FBS Foundation. The successful candidate will work actively with FBS Foundation as a Trustee, raising funds to support the school.
Prior experience in the education sector is not a prerequisite. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years’ financial experience (having managed all aspects of finance from processing transactions and production of management accounts to statutory accounts preparation) and have: demonstrated leadership skills; strong communication skills; a drive for continuing improvement; and able to work effectively across the large multitude of internal and external stakeholders.
