Family Support Advisor

Salary Grade: Scale SC5, Spine Points 12 - 15

Actual Salary Range: £29,784 -£31,663 per annum

Work Pattern: Full time, 35 hours per week, Term Time Only

Contract type: Permanent

 About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, organised and compassionate Family Support Advisor to join our dedicated school community. This is a pivotal role supporting families, pupils, and staff to ensure every child can thrive both academically and personally.

You will play a key part in fostering strong relationships between home and school, supporting attendance and punctuality, and ensuring smooth administration across a range of essential school services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate school administration functions efficiently.

  • Lead on attendance and punctuality, working closely with families to remove barriers to learning.

  • Act as a primary liaison with parents and carers, including support with admissions and general enquiries.

  • Manage and coordinate before and after-school clubs, ensuring quality provision and communication with parents.

  • Maintain and update the school website to ensure accurate and engaging communication with our community.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Is confident using IT systems and can manage administrative processes effectively.

  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusion.
