Class Teacher with Art Specialism

Contract type: Part time (0.6 FTE), Permanent

Working days: 3 days to be decided mutually

Salary: MPS

Reporting to: Phase Leader, Senior Leaders, Headteacher

St John’s Walham Green CE Primary School is a fun and exciting two-form entry school from Reception to Year 6 with one Nursery class. We offer a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment, and the teachers are committed to encouraging pupils to have high expectations academically, spiritually and socially.

We are looking for a Class Teacher with a specialism in Art to join our team.

You will:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging art education across the primary age range, fostering creativity, artistic skills, and appreciation of visual arts in line with the national curriculum;

• Support the school’s broader creative curriculum and contribute to whole-school displays, enrichment and arts-focused initiatives;

• Be a flexible and motivating teacher, able to support broader curricular learning, in addition to art learning;

• Fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set our in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document;

• Meet the expectations set out in the Teachers’ Standards;

• Support the School Vision and Values.
