Governors responsibility for SEND

Course fees: Free for LDBS Church and affiliated schools. £30 for others.


Louise Ritchie, School Effectiveness Partner at LDBS, will guide governors and trustees through their statutory responsibilities in relation to children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities.

We will: 

  • Establish the legal duties under the Children & Families Act 2014 

  • Look at how these can be fulfilled

  • Consider the challenges that schools face 

  • Explore how you can be effective in your role
