Teaching Assistant with Lunchtime Assistant duties

Start date: as soon as possible

Hours: Full-time, 8.30am to 3.15pm

Contract: Fixed-term until 17th July 2026

Salary: TA: £29,856 FTE (pro rata), term-time only

Lunchtime Assistant: £28,221 FTE (pro rata), term-time only

Trent CE Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Teaching Assistant with Lunchtime Assistant duties to join our team as soon as possible. This role would be ideal for a recent graduate considering a future PGCE or career in education.

The successful candidate will work closely to support an innovative, dynamic, and high-achieving learning environment. They will engage positively with children to foster a love of learning and contribute fully to the wider life of the school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Support and interact with children under the direction of the class teacher, encouraging enthusiasm for learning.

·         Assist the Class Teacher with lesson preparation, classroom displays, and general classroom support.

·         Supervise children during breaks and lunchtime activities.

·         Support children with reading on a daily basis, maintain reading records, and monitor progress.

·         Assist with teaching activities.

·         Actively contribute to the broader life of the school.
