Salary Range: £5,830 - £5,913 gross pa (Scale 2)
Hours: 8.75 hours per week/ 38 weeks per annum (Mon-Fri, 11.45am-1.30pm)

St Matthew’s is a small Church of England Primary School in the heart of Ponders End. Our children are happy, friendly and welcoming. They are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and approachable adult to supervise them during lunch times. This person needs to be able to lead activities and play games with the children, supervise them both in the lunch hall and outside in the playground, whilst maintaining a calm, caring and nurturing approach at all times.
The successful applicant must be able to communicate effectively with all pupils and staff and be aware of Health & Safety issues surrounding lunch time activities. Qualifications in first aid would be desirable, although training will be available.
Duties include:
Working as a team member to ensure the safe and enjoyable lunch break of all children.
Supervising children while they are eating their meals.
Encouraging positive behaviour in accordance with the School’s Behaviour Policy.
Organising appropriate equipment and leading activities for the children, encouraging all pupils to participate.
Setting out and putting away lunchtimes tables and benches.
It is desirable that applicants have previous skills and abilities of working with young children, but this is not essential.
