Learning Support Assistant

Scale 3 (5) FTE Salary £28,545

27.5 hours per week, term-time only, 39 weeks per year

Pro rata salary £18,674 per annum/£1,556 per month

We are a successful, high achieving, multi-cultural two-form entry school in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush.

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in our Year 1 class to support a pupil with an education, health and care plan in the next school year. Duties will include working with the individual directly or as part of a small group of children and as directed by the class teacher. Experience of working with children with communication difficulties and Autism in particular would be an advantage.  The candidate will also be required to work with a speech and language therapist to deliver on specific communication targets. In house and external training will be made available.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a graduate considering a career in teaching and will provide candidates with first-hand experience of working as part of a school team and focused on raising attainment of pupils.
