We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a successful and motivated faculty in our school. As part of this professional and dedicated team, you will be instrumental in inspiring and motivating our students.
The ideal candidate will:
· be a successful classroom practitioner, committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning, through lesson planning and careful assessment
· manage behaviour effectively
· deliver engaging and interactive lessons through an enquiry-based approach
· foster a love for geography by making the subject relevant and exciting
· enjoy getting involved in fieldwork
· support students in their academic and personal development
· contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities.
· collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience
· support the wider school vision

The Humanities Faculty at Greig City Academy is supportive and has an open-door approach to teaching: ideas and experiences are welcomed and listened to. It boasts a strong leadership team, a well-developed curriculum, and a focus on excellent teaching and learning. The successful candidate will work for a department which is flexible and strives to continually improve and update the curriculum offer.
The Faculty includes Geography, History and Sociology. Geography is a thriving subject and is a popular choice at KS4 and KS5.
