Forty Hill CE Primary School is a voluntary-aided Church of England school established in 1851 and set in a semi-rural, conservation area in Enfield. We are looking for an exceptional person to take on the role of Deputy Headteacher in our small and successful primary school. You will work closely with the Headteacher and our Senior Management Team to build on our strengths and take us forward to future success. We pride ourselves on our innovative curriculum, engaging lessons and unwavering commitment to pastoral care rooted in Christian values. The post-holder will also help embed, model and articulate our new school Vision of ‘Learning and Living in Faith, Hope and Service’. They will work with all stakeholders within the whole school community to ensure progress for all children, a happy and safe learning environment, and a current and exciting curriculum, both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful candidate will be:
A strategic thinker, able to consider the bigger picture and see opportunities to continually improve;
A proven outstanding classroom teacher across key stages with the ability to demonstrate these skills in their role;
Passionate about developing children as learners and understand how children learn in a Primary and inclusive setting;
Experienced in, and enthusiastic about, continually developing a curriculum that is relevant, creative and exciting;
A relentless champion for every child’s academic and pastoral outcomes;
Committed to the safeguarding of all children and preferably have experience of a designated safeguarding role;
Able to demonstrate excellent ICT skills and analysis of data to inform future steps;
Inspirational and able to lead, challenge and motivate colleagues across the school;
An excellent communicator with very good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work positively and effectively with all stakeholders;
Able to ‘wear two hats’ - managing a busy timetable with some teaching commitment as well as contributing to the wider life of the school as Deputy Headteacher;
Able to support the Christian ethos of our school.
