Forty Hill C.E. School is a voluntary-aided Church of England school established in 1851 and set in a picturesque conservation area in Enfield, just inside the M25, with easy access to the A10. We have strong transport links, with our staff and children coming from all over Enfield and Hertfordshire.
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our dedicated staff team as a class teacher from September. As a member of staff at Forty Hill, you will be part of an incredible team of practitioners, all working towards the school vision of ‘Learning and Living in Faith, Hope and Service’. As a school, we believe in developing every child’s full potential, both academically and spiritually, both inside and outside the classroom.
We can offer you:
Well-behaved and enthusiastic children;
Supportive colleagues, leadership, parents and Governors;
A small, friendly one-form-entry school with a Nursery;
An inclusive culture where every child and member of our school community is treated with respect and compassion;
Embedded Vision and Values that underpin our Christian distinctiveness;
Opportunities to develop professionally and gain a range of experience and skills working with dedicated practitioners;
A supportive team ethos, all relishing a challenge and working collaboratively to provide an enriching and exciting learning experience for all;
Expansive grounds and ever-improving infrastructure, including ICT;
Clear rationales for teaching and learning within an exciting broad and balanced curriculum;
Opportunity to lead a subject, developing an inspiring curriculum with the support of SLT.
The successful teacher will:
Be a dedicated and creative teacher with the ability to ensure all children make excellent progress;
Ambitious and willing to work hard, making the most of the additional opportunities that a small school can offer;
Have a passion for learning and flexibility to work in the ever-evolving primary environment;
Be able to adapt teaching and learning to challenge all children in the class, including the more able and those with specific learning needs;
Have very good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work positively in our busy team;
Build and nurture strong relationships with children and the broader school community;
Have the drive to manage multiple roles– managing their class, a subject and contributing to the wider life of the school;
Be able to support the Christian ethos of our school.
If you wish to have an informal conversation with the Headteacher, this is warmly welcomed, and we would strongly recommend a visit to the school before the closing day.
Please download the application pack below, and return it by email to headteacher@fortyhill.enfield.sch.uk by the closing date.
The successful candidate will be expected to undergo a full DBS check and other pre-employment checks. Please see our safeguarding document for more details. Forty Hill C.E. School is an equal opportunities employer.
