Harry Potter cast bring their magic to Kentish Town Primary School

David Ricardo-Pearce (Harry Potter), Naana Agyei-Ampadu (Hermione Granger), Ellis Rae (Albus Potter) and Nicole-Lily Baisden (Swing / Ensemble) told the entranced children about their own memories of World Book Day and shared highlights of the show before answering the children’s many questions, including which of the famous Hogwarts houses they belonged to.

Afterwards every child was given a copy ofHarry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ and a World Book Day book voucher, and the cast sat amongst the children chatting and signing the books.

George (aged 10) said, “I didn’t use to like Harry Potter but now I am definitely going to read this book.”

Headteacher James Humphries commented, “Our children were so inspired by meeting some of the cast and to receive a copy of the first Harry Potter book. I hope they will all read some of the book and then go on to read more!”

The event was brought to the school by World Book Day®, a charity whose focus is on improving children’s life chances by encouraging them to read for pleasure.
