Working in Partnership or Federation

Platform: Online training

Course fees: Free for Church and affiliated schools. £30 for others.

Many LDBS schools have entered formal collaboration arrangements: partnerships, federations and multi-academy trusts.  Others are considering structural changes as a way to support sustainability, staff development and curriculum breadth. This training will:

  • Set out the differences between the different kinds of collaborations and structures

  • Describe the structural change process

  • Share case studies from those who have recently been through, or are going through, a structural change

The session will be led by Penny Roberts, Director of Education, with contributions from governors sharing their first-hand experience.

The training is for governors who want to be better informed about the choices that they may need to make in the future, as well as those who are already embarking on this journey.
