Conference Speakers

  • Chine McDonald is a writer, broadcaster and author, and is
    Director of Theos, the religion and society think tank. She regularly contributes to BBC Religion and Ethics programmes. She speaks on issues of race and diversity, leadership, current affairs, social change, morality, ethics, religion and gender. Chine will be introducing our theme of wisdom.

  • Revd Professor James Walters is founding director of the LSE Faith Centre and LSE Religion and Global Society. The centre develops programmes to promote religious literacy, interfaith leadership and a better understanding of religion-related conflict. He was a member of the theological reference group that developed the Church of England Vision for Education. James will be prompting us to consider the place of wisdom in the way we educate children and young people.

  • David Watson OBE is CEO of the SAST Academies Trust and a highly experienced school leader with a number of successful headships as well as regional and national positions. David was awarded an OBE in the 2019 New Years Honours List for his services to education. David will be encouraging us to reflect on what it means to lead with wisdom.
