Governing boards have access to a wide range of training and professional learning opportunities aimed at helping them exercise their statutory duties in respect of pupil suspensions and exclusions. This session is designed to extend pre-existing knowledge, skills and understanding of the processes and regulatory system through exemplification and principle-driven approaches. The intentions are to ensure secure suspension/exclusion decision-making, reduce risks for leaders and governors and build confidence in appeals or tribunal activities.
