About the Role:
We are looking for someone to support the Head of Data Protection to provide a high-quality Data Protection Service for 223 schools.
Duties will Include:
Being the designated Data Protection Officer for a number of schools across London;
Monitoring compliance with Data Protection Legislation, and adoption of core Data Protection principles and requirements;
Leading the response to Data Breaches and Data Rights Requests, and responding to any ad hoc Data Protection queries raised by Schools;
Delivering training to the School Workforce, and collaborating with other members of the Grow Data Protection Team to ensure that knowledge and skills are shared.
The ideal candidate will have experience of:
At least 2 years’ experience in Data Protection and Legal Compliance;
Familiarity with computer security systems;
Experience in working independently and as part of a team;
Ability to deal with a wide range of personnel e.g. school staff and governors, parents/pupils and ICO staff, remaining calm and diplomatic at all times;
Experience in the education sector;
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail;
A flexible and practical approach to problem-solving and making recommendations.
