St Paul’s Cathedral Service 2025

Yesterday 1500 staff and pupils from across the diocese gathered at St Paul’s Cathedral for a service to explore the theme of ‘Strength Beyond Time: The God of Eternity. We are grateful to all those who were able to attend the service and to over 280 pupils who led the service and partcipated to make it a memorable and special day.

Schools were able to place their founding year cards on our 15m timeline, spanning from 1500 to 2050. It was a special way to see when most of the Church schools were founded, some being more than 400 years old!

Staff and pupils enjoyed a dramatic performance from the pupils of St Mary’s and St John’s School, Hendon, based on a reading from Isaiah chapter 40, v 28-31 and flew eagle shaped kites with great dramatic effect. The Rt Revd Lusa Nsenga-Ngoy, Bishop of Willesden shared a thoughtful reflection and presented and blessed the timeline. The pupils of Christ Church, Brondesbury led the prayers for the Church, our schools, the world, the future and for those in need. The Steel band from Holy Trinity, Tottenham gave a joyous performance as schools exited the cathedral.
