On Wednesday 19th January John Keble Primary School held an Anti-idling Campaign Action Day. We were joined by visitors from Smarter Travel and Brent council’s Air Quality department. They worked with our Junior Leadership Team Eco Leaders and taught them all about the impact that vehicle engines have on the environment and how we can reduce this. Years four, five and six attended special assemblies. At the end of the day the Eco Leaders presented the posters they had created ready to be printed and put up outside of school. They then went with local enforcement officers and led a patrol around the streets local to school, speaking to drivers and sharing information about idling. They even gave out some stickers to those who had already remembered to turn their engines off when stopped!
