What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SENDCO/INCO to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acting as one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) while collaborating closely with the wider safeguarding team;
  • Participating in Senior Leadership Team meetings and Pupil Progress Meetings, to ensure the needs of SEND students are effectively addressed;
  • Tracking and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions;
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with parents, families, and external agencies, including a strong link with Private Speech and Language therapists (SPLs);
  • Building trust and fostering collaboration with other SENDCOs within our trust network;
  • Managing and utilising Borough Educational Psychologist hours effectively;
  • Sourcing external support from Barnet, including the Barnet Inclusion Support Service (BICS), through proactive referrals and established links – currently we are one of the top schools for referrals to support our children.
