LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT/LUNCHTIME PLAYLEADER
Actual Salary Range: £15,373 – £15,626 p.a. (Scale 2)
Hours: 27.5 hours per week x 38 weeks: 8.50 am – 3.35 pm, 5 days a week
Contract Type: Fixed term contract for 1 year
Commencement Date: 1 September 2023
We are an outstanding, heavily over-subscribed, friendly and welcoming two form entry Voluntary Aided Church of England primary school.
This is an exciting and exceptional opportunity for candidates to become fully involved in school life. We are looking for someone who is confident in their abilities to deliver assistance in the classroom and have an impact on all pupils. You will enjoy working as part of a team and work consistently using initiative. Applications from people with appropriate proven abilities, good communication and organisational skills are invited.
For the LSA duties, the person appointed will provide one to one support and on some occasions, small group support for students, including those with ADHD and other co-occurring difficulties, together with in-class support for the SEN cohort. The role is to work with children with a range of Special Educational Needs. An interest in supporting learners with Specific Learning Difficulties is desirable, previous training linked to ADHD and Autism is preferable.
