An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced member of SLT to join the Teaching London SCITT as a Programme Director.

The successful candidate will have the privilege of training aspirational teachers for the future who will go on to inspire and shape the lives of hundreds of young people.

Teaching London SCITT, in partnership with the LDBS, has been training teachers for over 20 years providing graduate training leading to Qualified Teacher Status with a PGCE. In addition to this an Assessment Only Route is also available for unqualified or overseas trained teachers.

Teaching London currently works with 80 culturally rich schools in and around London and attracts a diverse student cohort. It has a strong and committed team of staff who work tirelessly to provide a high – quality training experience and establish positive and collaborative relationships with the associated schools.

The organisation prides itself on its high standards and  challenging expectations of trainees sitting alongside strong and personalised pastoral support both at the centre and in schools. As a result of this, between 60% – 80% of students have achieved a final grade of ‘Outstanding’ with the remainder graded as ‘Good’ over the last three years.

The programme director manages an annual budget of approximately £900 000 and is supported and challenged by its executive committee and one of the LDBS advisors assigned to Teaching London.
