Monitoring Visits in Schools (Primary schools only) – Registration is closed
It is accepted good practice for governors to visit their schools on a regular basis. In order to ensure that these visits are as informative and useful as possible, it is important that governing bodies have a clear understanding of their purpose and an agreed working relationship with the school.
This session will explore the do’s and don’ts of governor visits to schools, as well as share good practice and examine further the protocol underwriting effective visits.
The OFSTED framework places even greater importance on the role of Governors, particularly in terms of how robustly they know the school and are able to challenge for improvement. This course will equip Governors with the skills and knowledge to have a sharper picture of what is going on in their school.
