Despite the lockdown, the Green School for Boys has been hard at work raising money for charity.
The Green School Trust 6th Form have organised a Euro 2020 competition with forms each being given a country to represent and with the prize of a football themed party to celebrate. This has been raising funds for a local charity Refugees Welcome in Richmond http://www.refugeeswelcomeinrichmond.org/
Five Year 8 students organised a 6 hour sponsored row in aid of Autism Awareness and Cancer Research UK. They rowed 72km in the 6 hours, including finding time to sit their end of year exams along the way. The boys raised an amazing £1500.
Our annual TGSB Charity Bake sale reached new heights this year raising over £400 for Prostate Cancer Research. Year 10 students have been the driving force behind this year and have done an absolutely fantastic job.
The school would also like to say a huge thank you to the parents, students and staff who donated cakes for the sale. Over 50 people donated this year and this shows the power of our Inclusive Christian ethos. This shows how powerful schools can be when we treat others the way we would all want to be treated and demonstrates care and compassion for those in need of our help.
