On behalf of the Trustees of Veritas Educational Trust we are delighted to announce that, following Mr Wilcock’s decision to retire at the end of this academic year, Dr Hilary Macaulay BA (Hons.) MA MBA PhD has been appointed to the role of Executive Head of Bishop Ramsey and CEO of Veritas Educational Trust. Dr Hilary Macaulay is a committed member of her local Anglican church and has considerable experience as both a successful school and Multi Academy Trust leader.
Dr Macaulay says, ‘I feel tremendously privileged and excited to be joining such an impressive and committed staff team, engaged and enthusiastic student community and supportive parents, carers and trustees. Being appointed to the role brings together every aspect of my work in school leadership over the past sixteen years from leading Outstanding schools, developing and leading Multi Academy Trusts and ensuring the very best opportunities and outcomes for all young people. Having been involved in leading several high profile new school and capital expansion projects, being able to extend the first class holistic education which Bishop Ramsey School offers through the opening of Bishop Arden School and working closely with other schools in the area will enable an even greater breadth of opportunity, diversity and inclusion to be at the heart of our Christian mission. Having admired the incredible success, development and innovation of Bishop Ramsey School for several years, I am inspired by what I know we will be able to achieve as we move to the next stage of our work together and very much look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in the next few months.’
The LDBS would like to join with the Veritas Educational Trust to take this opportunity to thank Andrew for the 19 years of dedicated Christian service he has given to Bishop Ramsey in Hillingdon. Under his leadership the school achieved its Outstanding and World Class status, and has looked outwards to support the community beyond its walls by becoming a National Support School, a Teaching School and providing Outstanding teacher training provision. All of these initiatives have provided development opportunities for our staff which have also benefitted the students at Bishop Ramsey. I know you will join me in wishing him a long, happy and healthy retirement.
