A selection of great books which can be used in Key Stage 1 and possibly EYFS has been complied by Stonewall. 
These books can be used to talk about different families and to addressing challenge gender stereotypes.

Lit in Colour is a campaign by publisher Penguin and The Runnymede Trust to support making the teaching and learning of English Literature more inclusive of writers of colour in UK schools. Part of this campaign was the commissioning of research to better understand the current barriers at Primary and Secondary school level in England.
